Mike King
Message from Mike -

The New Albany Church of Christ was formed in 1939.  It has served the community effectively during that period of time and its influence has reached around the world.  The congregations has put forth every effort to be a positive influence in the lives of all who have been members of the congregation from its beginning.  The concerns for teaching and saving the souls of individuals have been paramount as its objectives.  The congregation has been both family and youth friendly and been a warm home congregation for hundreds through the years.  During the history of the congregation, it has been very conscientious about maintaining spiritual integrity and doctrinal soundness.  The Bible provides the congregation with spiritual direction and moral standards for individuals and families.  Those who either visit or become members of the New Albany Church of Christ can expect a warm welcome, home atmosphere and nothing taught or preached but a "Thus says the Lord."  The membership is driven by a love and loyalty to God and each others with a deep concern for the salvation of fellowman.
Mike was born in southern Indiana and holds degrees from Michigan Christian College, Oklahoma Christian University of Arts and Science and Ambridge University with emphasis in the fields of Speech, Counseling and Bible.  He has been preaching for 56 years in Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida and Mississippi.  Mike has been involved in mission work in Africa, Romania and New Zealand.  He has been married to the former Sheila Birdwell of Muscle Shoals, AL for forty-six years.  They have three daughters and eight grandchildren.  He is in his eighth year as minister of the New Albany Church of Christ.
